In the Roller waiver flow we walked through in August 2026, an adult enters their own details, ticks "I also need to complete a waiver for minors or dependants", then adds each child's name and date of birth, with an Add Minor button to repeat. One adult signature covers every minor listed. The form asks each child's age but never the signer's relationship to them, and the age rule appears as an inline warning on the date-of-birth field. Waiver setup is configurable per venue, so specifics vary between parks. wakesys asks whether each minor is your own child, shows a full-screen guardianship confirmation before anyone signs for a child they are not authorized to represent, and creates a separate waiver record with its own signature for every participant.
In most jurisdictions a release covering a child only carries weight when it is signed by that child's parent or court-appointed legal guardian. A birthday host, an aunt or a coach signing for other families' children may be producing documents that do nothing, and the park usually finds out months after an incident. Any system that lets one adult add unlimited minors to a single signature makes this easy to do by accident. wakesys makes the signer choose between "Own child" and "Not my child" in those words, blocks the flow with a full-screen warning before a non-guardian continues, offers an invite link so the actual parent can sign from their own phone, and stores the relationship so the parent can be required to re-sign later.
