No! wakesys works with any hardware you already have, or with no hardware at all. Start accepting bookings with just your phone and a Stripe account. If you want hardware later (RFID wristbands, access controllers), we can provide it, but it's never required.
Most parks are operational on wakesys within a day. We set up your products, pricing and booking rules with you on a call, and your guests create their own profiles the first time they book or sign a waiver, so there is no customer database to move. You can run wakesys alongside your current system while you evaluate it.

Absolutely! wakesys supports English, German, and French natively. All booking flows, admin interfaces, and customer communications can be in German. We're not just translated. We understand the German market and have multiple German-speaking parks on the platform.
Two platforms, one company. wakesys 5.0 has run cable and water-ski parks since 2013 and includes RFID wristbands, gate control, lap counting, operator screens, memberships and season passes, gift cards, equipment rental, food-and-beverage ordering and fiscal compliance for Germany and Austria (TSE/EFSTA, RKSV). The new wakesys platform, launched in March 2026, is where all new development happens: online booking, pre-arrival waivers with guardian consent, per-guest claim links, iPad POS, upgrades and rule-based pricing. It does not yet have memberships, gift cards, rental inventory, RFID or the fiscal layer; those are being brought across, with the fiscal layer committed for the start of the 2027 season.
